Dr. Diane Carr is the Associate Vice President of Arts and Sciences at Midlands Technical College. As Associate Vice President, Diane supervises the Arts and Sciences department chairs and library director; supports the transfer program, library, and academic success center; coordinates and supports outcome assessment activities for academic departments; collaborates with the college’s K12 partners; coordinates dual enrollment; and in general works with others across the college to enhance student retention and success.

Dr. Carr co-chairs the college wide cross-functional Enrollment Management Committee, serves as the college’s representative on the Board of Directors for the SC Region Blood Services of the American Red Cross, coordinates the college’s annual MTC Assessment Institutes for Students Learning Outcomes, works closely with the Gamecock Gateway program with USC, and is co-coordinator for the college’s Campus Compact (Service Learning) activities.  She also serves with HEART (Health Care for Everyone at the Right Time), a state-wide committee charged with creating training and certification for community health workers.
